Before founding the Mastering College to Career Academy,  I thought that mental health challenges could be solved by a simple change in mindset.

I thought that if you simply focused on personal development and growth, you could escape whatever you were facing internally.

After facing some mental health challenges of my own, I’ve learned that it took more strength to actually acknowledge the issues that I was dealing with.

Through taking time to reflect on my own crippling self criticisms, securing a supportive network and utilizing resources to educate myself, I was able to begin my healing process.

As an entrepreneur it’s no secret that you’ll have mountains to face.

However, I never would have known that the same mountains that needed to be moved were the ones in my own mind.

In this episode of the podcast I speak with David Mendoza, professor at George Brown College and Director of Orbit 5 about mental health, studying abroad and the international student experience.

Tune in to learn about building a competitive advantage, the importance of securing a strong support system and utilizing the resources available to you while still in school.

If you’re looking to gain confidence and strength, exponentially advance your personal development and work to end the stigma behind mental health, this is the episode for you!
